An out-and-back 5k with a 1.6 mile loop that can be repeated for extra miles. It is a very wide gravel path that leads through a marshy wooded area. There are also bike trails and birdwatching locations. Deer and other wildlife can be seen some times of the year. This running path was drawn to avoid one section of trail that sometimes floods during rainy times. Drive to 1956 Eugene Gunby Rd, Marietta, GA 30067 to get to the trail head. If the parking lot is full, another parking area is directly across the river. Parking is $3, annual passes available, credit cards and cash accepted. Park open dawn to dusk - no lights.
