Route difficulty: ⭐️ [hike] Trailhead is located 6 miles from the hotel. A tranquil 1 mile loop in the beautiful hiking area in the Indian Canyons. The Andreas Canyon is considered the world’s second largest California Fan Palm oasis. There is a fee to enter the Canyons. There are three canyons to choose from: Andreas Canyon, Murray Canyon, and Palm Canyon. The trailheads for Andreas and Murray begin at the same spot. Palm Canyon is approximately 2 miles past these first two. Important notes: These trails are remote and challenging. Pack in case you need to take care of yourself, even for overnight. Hike with a friend or tell a friend where you will be hiking. Carry more water than you think you need, at least one liter per hour. Do not continue hiking when half of your water is gone. Protect yourself from the run: sunscreen, layers, hat, sunglasses, and good footwear. The weather can change quickly. Know your route.
