Driving required. Scenic route along horse farms and rolling hills! The trailhead is a 12 mile drive away from the hotel.
The Legacy Trail is a shared-use paved trail that runs north/south from Lexington. This is mostly out-and-back route, with a loop that starts at the 2 mile point.
A water fountain and bathroom are available at the trailhead.
Notes:
- Wear sunscreen. There is little shade along the trail.
- Watch out for bikers who share the path.
- Watch out for cars when crossing the road.

- Head north on Nicholasville Road
- Get on KY-4 West/ New Circle Road
- Follow New Circle Road towards KY-922 S/ Newtown Pike.
- Take exit 9A
- Continue on Newton Pike and turn left onto W Loudon Avenue
- Turn left into the YMCA parking lot
