This is a popular local loop around the Lady Bird Lake dam. This route will also take you to Rainey Street and Congress Avenue Bridge (aka. Bat Bridge).
Begin at the Fairmont Austin. Head down Rainey Street - a popular place for bungalow-style bars, food trucks, and eateries. Then run along the Lady Bird Lake. Cross to the other side of the Colorado River, then return to the hotel via the Congress Avenue Bridge. Bats live under the bridge from March to October, and you can see them emerge in the evenings during those months!
