This group is for those who want to try out a different kind of running and walking route that is more about discovering the sights, history, and those fun places along each route. Striding Cities London creates short, interconnecting, visually appealing self-guided running and walking routes across London, each starting and ending at an Underground station. The concept is designed to motivate locals, students, workers, and tourists to get out and discover the different areas of London that engage their senses while teaching them about each route's history, sights, hidden gems, and nearby places to eat, drink, and explore, all without getting lost. The first set of routes is an Across London Visual Marathon, which has been split into 16 short interconnecting routes covering the East London Docklands corridor, the City of London, Central London, and the West End. There is a detailed route guide where users can access Google/Strava maps, see what the route looks like (filmed at running speed), as well as an audio guide covering the route's history and stories, a photo gallery, a 360° virtual tour, and recommendations for places to eat, drink, and visit nearby. Future route will include 6 short routes that focus on eating and drinking, sightseeing, and shopping, and a circular route (8 short ones) that focuses on the areas just outside the centre.
